A Stripey Blanket for Ollie

Wow it's been a while
since my last post
There has been a lot of
crocheting going on

Some finished projects
and some in progress

Heres a sneak peek of a project
that I cant wait to share

A new baby grand daughter
(picture taken by her mom
on an afghan I made a couple years back)

A visit from
my oldest grand daughter
who lives in Oregon

Im excited to share another
Stampington publication this month
Somerset Studio Gallery
with my dolls in it
(as seen in Michaels!!)

And my poor fur baby
is now on medication for seizures
That was really scary

I finally finished
my third stripey blanket
and it was given to its new owner
My only grandson Ollie

I have a love hate relationship
with stripey blankets

I love the variety of stitches
and colors as I am making it
but I hate
having to keep the stitch count
weaving in the ends
and putting on the border

But they are BEAUTIFUL when your done!!!

Right now on my hook -
baby dresses
So much fun to make and quick too!

Oh…
I have some great news to share
StitchinStacy has made a YouTube
video tutorial for the flower
in my Flower Power Valance
I have had a lot of requests
for this so if your interested
pop on over here where I have
posted the link

Ok back to crocheting….

  2. Your new stripey blanket is so pretty in blue and green colors! L.O.V.E. it! Can't wait to see the whole blanket you've recently finished. That star square is interesting. You're a busy girl. Give your kitty a few love pats from me. Poor thing.

  7. Hi Robin, I landed here via a link posted on http://greedyforcolour.blogspot.com.au to your tutorial for the bobble edging. I love it and I'm thinking of using it to finish off a Granny square rug/blanket that I've nearly finished. Thanks for sharing.
I also love this stripey blanket, I'll have to add it to my very long 'to do' list. So many ideas & projects, not enough time.

  9. HI there! I came across your blog by a post that was shared on facebook (that beautiful crocheted window valance!) and I am falling in love with your work!
I was wondering if you have an Etsy store or anything like that, because I would really, really love a few of your blankets! That rainbow one above, with the pom pom edges is absolutely stunning! I know that I personally would be honored to have something like that to snuggle up with. I was also thinking that my mom would love one too! And that stripey blue one. Wow! What a gorgeous blanket! I think it would make an incredible gift for my boyfriend.
Anyway, please let me know if there is any way I could purchase from you. Your work is absolutely gorgeous. I am sure you invest a ton of time and energy and love into these pieces, and it really shows!
